The ribbon cutting celebration for the new USC Trojan Shelter.

One of the best roads to self-sufficiency is through higher education. But if a college student has nowhere to live, how can they be expected to succeed in their studies? In 2019, HomeAid Los Angeles teamed up with Working Hands Builders to help tackle the growing problem of student homelessness on college campuses. Operated by Community Partners/Students 4 Students, the USC Trojan Shelter is run by current USC students for their homeless peers. We completed electrical and fire coding for this Koreatown shelter, and now 6 students have a place to stay while they pursue their education - and their futures.
